  • Terry Rudolph- (Loudoun Co. Sheriff’s Deputy) Private security interfacing with law enforcement. What to do and what not to do. What law enforcement can and cannot do for you while conducting security operations in their jurisdiction.

    During her service in the Virginia House of Delegates She served on the Transportation Committee, the Courts of Justice Committee and the Judicial Review Panel. Delegate Valentine's legislative priorities have focused on the issues of economic development, health care, public safety, energy and the environment, education, open government, and human rights.

The following awards will be announced at the Symposium:

  • 2010 Hayward Long Leadership Award
    • The Hayward Long Leadership Award is awarded annually to a PISA member who has exhibited strong leadership whether within PISA or the Private Security Services Industry. The individual who has exhibited outstanding leadership ability based on Integrity, Courage, Commitment, Honor and Excellence in the private security services profession in the Commonwealth of Virginia will be evaluated for this award. This award is given in recognition of Mr. Hayward Long for his dedication, personal integrity, and demonstrated leadership in more than 21 years of service in the private security industry.
  • 6th Annual Don Koch PSS Instructor Award
    • This award is presented to honor a Private Security Services Instructor who embodies the qualities and attributes modeled in the classroom by our dear friend and courageous leader, Don Koch.
